I avoided reviews of the new Batman v Superman movie as best I could. However, one very clever person edited a clip of Ben Affleck during an interview appearing to be very, very sad about the bad reviews the film was getting. Well, Ben Affleck…rejoice…because nobody cares what critics have to say. The Batman v Superman movie pulled in $170 million+ its opening weekend at the box office despite Rotten Tomatoes 28% rating and a host of critics dogging the film.
I doubt in my lifetime another Batman franchise will manage to top The Dark Knight. That being said…the movie was meh. It was visually stunning…and by visually stunning, I mean Henry Cavill’s face. Just kidding, the cinematography was commendable. I didn’t believe Ben Affleck as Batman…I’m sorry but I just didn’t and the things that I remember about the film have nothing to do with the plot. But fret not Affleck; remember Ryan Reynolds made Green Lantern before Deadpool. I’m very excited to see Jason Momoa And Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Aquaman as the Justice League films continue. Jason and Ray appear to be unfazed by the negative press in a photo they posted on instagram so don’t let bad reviews scare you away from seeing the movie if you’re interested. I’ll tell you one thing, the movie did succeed in getting me pumped about Wonder Woman, so there’s that.
