To all the Fathers and Men reading this today, I declare you will be encouraged. Your spirit will awaken and you will know you are blessed, and positioned to walk in your greatness.
Sisters, understand if the man is built up, restored, and returns to his Godly, Kingly, Royal position everything rises up toward its full potential.
Mark 2:1-12 New International Version (NIV)
Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralyzed Man
2 A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home. 2 They gathered in such large numbers that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them. 3 Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. 4 Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. 5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”
Luke 5:17-20 New International Version (NIV)
Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralyzed Man
17 One day Jesus was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick. 18 Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. 19 When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.
20 When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.
I. The Faith of Your Friends
Forward Thinkers, I struggled with should I begin with the paralyzed man or his friends and I chose his friends because it’s been said if you want to know where you are going take a hard look at your closest friends.
The bible says it is not good for man to be alone, therefore God designed us to be in relationship with Him and others in order for us to reach our full potential.
Forward Thinkers, pay close attention to what Jesus said … the faith of your friends make the difference.
Remember those three Hebrew boys all spoke the same language “the God we serve is able.”
Brothers, what language is being spoken by your Boys?

II. The Paralyzed Man
Paralyzed-rendered incapable of movement or action.
Forward Thinkers, the man here is paralyzed in the physical sense but the reality for you and I is that the odds of us being paralyzed or having a paralyzed friend are slim to none.
Forward Thinkers,, I want to look at the man not from a physical state of being paralyzed but being paralyzed spiritually, emotionally, mentally, socially, and financially.
The bible doesn’t say he was paralyzed from birth so something happened to him that caused him to lose his ability to move forward.
Brothers cry in the dark because the devil has convinced us ‘real men’ don’t cry, yet Jesus cried in public and no man was more real than Jesus.

WHEN THEY SEE US
On April 19, 1989, 28-year-old white jogger Trisha Meili was severely beaten and brutally raped in Central Park. Her body was dragged over 300 feet to a shallow ravine, where she was left for dead.
Forward Thinkers, that same night, a group of 30 black and
Hispanic teenagers roamed the park. Some caused trouble, attacking cyclists and
Five teens – 14-year-olds Raymond Santana and Kevin Richardson, 15-year-olds Antron McCray and Yusef Salaam and 16-year-old Corey Wise – were arrested by New York police a few hours before Meili was found, and police later connected them to the attack.
Forward Thinkers, they all initially denied any involvement in the rape, or any other crimes that took place in the park that night, but after hours of interrogation they each pointed the finger at one of their peers, and confessed to have been involved in one way or another.
They signed confessions and appeared on video stating that they had witnessed one of the others rape Meili. Many details in their statements – including the location, and description of the events.
Forward Thinkers, even though their confessions were at odds with forensic evidence they were all announced guilty.
Here’s how long they all served:
Raymond Santana: 7 years
Kevin Richardson: 7 years
Antron McCray: 7 years
Yusef Salaam: 7 years
Korey Wise: 13 years.
Forward Thinkers, all five men received part of an initial $41-million settlement, and an additional $3.9 million settlement. But they say the money will never heal the invisible scars they have endured.
HOW MANY MEN ARE WALKING AROUND WITH INVISIBLE SCARS?
Forward Thinkers, McCray’s father, Bobby McCray, pressured his son to confess to the crime in hopes of being granted leniency by the prosecution. When asked if he has forgiven his father, McCray said, “No ma’am … he’s a coward … I hate him, my life is ruined.”
HOW MANY MEN ARE WALKING AROUND WITH HATE IN THEIR HEARTS?
Forward Thinkers, McCray admitted that he still struggles with the injustice he endured. Fighting back tears, McCray said, “Even to this day I’m damaged. I need help. I know it. I try to keep myself busy. The system broke a lot of things in me that can’t be fixed.”
HOW MANY MEN ARE WALKING AROUND STAYING BUSY TO COVER THEIR BROKENESS?
III. The Word
Forward Thinkers, the best thing we can do for a generation of broken men is get them to the Word of God.
His friends didn’t carry him to the doctor, the bar, the strip club, or even the game but they carried him to Jesus who was preaching and teaching under the anointing of God.
Forward Thinkers, let’s jump to Ezekiel 37 because faith comes through the word of God and this biblical story is a perfect example of that.
The Valley of Dry Bones
37 The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. 3 He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.”
4 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.
9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breathe, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’” 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.
IV. The Testimony
12 He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”
