Breakthrough an act or instance of moving through or beyond an obstacle
a sudden advance
a person’s first notable success
Matthew 9:20-22 New International Version (NIV)
20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”
22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.
Mark 5:25-34 New International Version (NIV)
25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse.27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.
Luke 8:43-48 New International Version (NIV)
43 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years,[a] but no one could heal her. 44 She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.
48 Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”
Forward Thinkers, this woman like many today needed a breakthrough and her circumstances and situation looked at times hopeless.
Forward Thinkers, I have come to remind you God has not changed His mind concerning you and your destiny.
And God blessed them [granting them certain authority] and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it [putting it under your power]; and rule over (dominate) the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the earth.” Genesis 1:28 AMP
Forward Thinkers, keep this is mind God said you are blessed therefore everything else we experience is just a test. Faith don’t fail us now must become our 2019 motto.
Matthew’s Account- Said To Herself
Proverbs 18:21 New International Version (NIV)
21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Forward Thinkers, before our breakthrough we must break free from negative talk and speak the Word of God over our situations.
She was still in her condition but her conversation changed.
Mark’s Account- She
For as he thinks within himself, so he is. He says to you, “Eat and drink!” But his heart is not with you. Proverbs 23:7 NAS
She spent all she had
She got worse instead of better
Forward Thinkers, she thought about the power of Jesus and realized God could make a way out of no way.
Luke’s Account Her Faith
Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”; Matthew 9:29
Forward Thinkers, Luke doesn’t give many details on her situation but he drives the point home her faith caused her to receive her breakthrough.
Forward Thinkers, I believe Luke was encouraging us to spent less time focusing on the difficulties of our situation and more time building up our faith to position us for a breakthrough out of our situations.
Forward Thinkers, we serve a God who is not limited by time or distance and it’s time we take God off our personal timetable.
Forward Thinkers everything God has for us will manifest for us in
5 Steps To Your Breakthrough
1) Hear the Word and Increase your Faith
2) Meditate on the Word and enter into Agreement with the Word
3) Confess the Word and Empower Yourself to Change
4) Act on the Word and cause the Hand of God to move on Your behalf
5) Be Patient and Stand on the Word no matter what is happening around You
Forward Thinkers, in conclusion even though Matthew, Mark, and Luke had a different perspective of the situation they all came to the same conclusion Jesus made the difference and He told the woman after her breakthrough to go in peace. Forward Thinkers that’s my final thought on today GO IN PEACE your breakthrough has set you free.
