DREAM CHASERS – “Never Stop Chasing God”

Forward Thinkers, no matter how old or young, we must never stop trusting God and believing God has more for us to achieve. That more keeps us dreaming.

“All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous dreamers, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible.” T.E. Lawrence

Forward Thinkers, we all have dreams but there’s a difference between a Dream Chaser and one who simply dreams.

A Dream Chaser is a believer with the courage to follow their heart and the faith to succeed in their pursuits.

Dream Chasers understand it takes action to achieve their dreams and action requires consistency. Consistency must be fueled by determination.

John 15:5New International Version (NIV)

5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

John 15:7New International Version (NIV)

7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

Forward Thinkers, the dreamer must always remember as he chases his dreams to never stop chasing God. We must never lose focus of God’s position in our life. I love the fact that the bible calls us God’s co-workers; meaning we are not in this alone but we have God’s support throughout our pursuit of our dream.

Forward Thinkers, Let’s Look At Some Key Words In A Dream Chasers Lexicon

1) Courage

Forward Thinkers, we must release strength in the face of fear because throughout our journey, we will be faced with some fearful situations but we must never be full of fear. Forward Thinkers, God didn’t give us the spirit of fear but courage. 2 Timothy 1:7

2) Heart

Forward Thinkers, every Dream Chaser must have passion and an attitude to get it done. The bible says as a man believes in his heart, so is he. So, what’s in your heart?

3) Faith

Forward Thinkers, your level of faith will determine the level of success you achieve. We obtain faith only from God’s word.

4) Action

Forward Thinkers, faith without works (action) is dead. Dream Chasers are driven to action all day and night but dreamers are just sleep walking.

5) Consistency

James 1:2-8New International Version (NIV)Trials and Temptations

2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

Forward Thinkers, we must stay the course and continue to chase our dreams as we continue to chase God.

Forward Thinkers, inconsistency kills many dreams.

6) Determination

Forward Thinkers, Dream Chasers must have the will to keep going. We must tell ourselves we have what it takes. We must declare daily, “I’m willing to do what it takes to make it happen.”

Forward Thinkers, when we were born was based on the time frame our parents connected with each other but we started living when we connected to Jesus and started chasing down our dreams.

Unfortunately, the church is losing this millennial generation because the world is doing a better job encouraging them to chase down their dreams than the church.

We must understand we have the greatest tools known to mankind available to us right here in the bible.

Joshua 1:8New International Version (NIV)

8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Forward Thinkers, it’s time to get in this word and get results. Meditate on the word like a sharp shooter meditates on his target. Maybe it’s time to call an audible (change things up). Plant your feet and chase down your dreams until you run into prosperity and great success.

Let’s Examine Noah An Original Dream Chaser

Genesis 6:11-15

11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. 13 So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. 14 So make yourself an ark of cypress[c] wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out. 15 This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high.

A God Inspired Dream

Noah had no experience. Dream Chasers trust God to supply them with all they need; therefore it is a must that we stay connected to God. The world looks at my resume but God looks at my relationship with Him, His Son, and His Word. It really is not what you know but who you know when that person you know is Jehovah-Jireh.

Noah had no encouragement. Dream Chasers, there are 171,476 words in the English language. Pick one every hour and encourage yourself. Open up your bible and find a word from God to encourage yourself. Find your favorite gospel artist and let God’s word through song encourage you. Do whatever you have to do to stay encouraged.

Noah made no excuses. Dream Chasers don’t make excuses. They make things happen because we can do all things through Jesus Christ.

A Dream Chaser’s DNA

A Dream Chaser is not afraid to buck the culture. Noah stayed focused on his dream while those around him were tripping. Dream Chasers don’t have time to worry about being a crowd or people pleaser. Dream Chasers don’t need to fit in.

A Dream Chaser is not afraid to work long and hard to get the job done. God gave Noah a dream (vision) and along the way God provides provisions but Noah had to use a hammer, saw, drill, nuts and bolts to accomplish his dream. Stop waiting on help to fall out the sky and pick up your tools and go to work on your dreams.

A Dream Chaser is not afraid to be rejected. The bible never mentions anyone getting excited or connecting to Noah and his dream but the ark still got built. Rejection from people often leads to promotion from God.

As God’s co-workers. it’s time to overcome whatever obstacles are in front of us and chase down our dreams. “If not us then who and if not now then when?” Rev. Jesse Jackson
