Local Pastor Takes S.T.E.M. Students to Attend Black Panther Movie

Local Pastor, Author, and Executive Director Joshua T. Scott of APC Inc. recently took 60 S.T.E.M students from across the Greater Houston area to see the premiere of Black Panther. Students were encouraged to seek careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Through the technological advances seen in the movie through the fiction nation of Wakanda, students were able to see that there is no limit to what they can do if they strive for greatness. Scott believes that this is the start of students of color across the world to see themselves as pioneers of future advancement in fields that are not as common to inner-city youth. Scott was able to make this project possible by donations from Men of Morehouse, Alpha Phi Alpha, North Forest ISD Alumni and other community partners. Popcorn, candy and other goodies were provided to make it an unforgettable experience.
