The Melaninations are in…Golden Globe 2018 Edition

Welp. The 2018 Golden Globe awards are around the corner. The nominations for the magical and melanated are in and well, a bit sparce but what else is new? They are as follows…

Of course the most glaring of atrocities on this list is the absence of Get Out under the Best Motion Picture category, or the film’s brillant director/comedian/actor Jordan Peele who was not given the Best Director nod. The problems did not stop there, however. There was the glaring absense of women directors that included Dee Rees who directed Mudbound, Patty Jenkins who directed Wonder Woman, and Greta Gerwig who directed Lady Bird (a film with a ton of buzz).
Last but not least…where are the nominations for Girls Trip? Were you not entertained? Hmmph.
