The Houston Rockets called up Danuel House, a Texas A&M basketball alumn, from their G-League team named the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. After two seasons with the University of Houston, House finished his collegiate career at Texas A & M Universtiy.
He landed a rookie position with the Washington Wizards and then spent the remainder of the season with the Phoenix Suns. House played with the Rockets during the summer league which got him a spot with the Golden State Warriors during training camp. After getting cut by the Warriors he joined the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
After a number of untimely injuries and a slow start to the season, House was called up by the Rockets and has been seeing real minutes on the court.
Coach Mike D’Antoni said, “I like Danuel a lot. He’s very athletic. He’s a bigger three/four that we can use. He runs the floor, not afraid of the moment. He belongs in the NBA.”
**Update** The Houston Rockets waived House on Wednesday December 5, 2018.
