The Ensemble Theatre Presents a Dramatic Comedy, “Eighth Day of the Week”
The Ensemble Theatre presents the “Eighth Day of The Week,” a play that sheds a light on Alzheimer’s disease by playwright Prester Pickett and is directed by Ensemble Theatre Artistic Director Eileen J. Morris. Opening Night and a media reception was held on Thursday, March 22, 2018, 6:30 p.m. at 3535 Main Street, Houston, Texas 77002. Featured cast members include Tanner Ellis, Rachel Hemphill Dickson, Shane Warren Jones, Robert Marshall, Brittney Walker-Merritte, and Joyce Anastasia Murray. Love is the center of family and all that it involves, and one family struggles to hold the line as their aging matriarch’s memory begins to fade. The “Eighth Day of the Week” is a story infused with humor to bring awareness to a condition that affects so many families everywhere. This story gives a glimpse into the lives of a family discovering, accepting, and learning how to cope with Alzheimer’s Disease. The show runs March 22 through April 15, 2018.
