It looks like it’s going to be another “Hot Girl Summer” for native Houston it girl Megan Thee Stallion. Megan was tapped by Rihanna herself to partner with the Savage X Fenty lingerie brand. “Classy. Bougie. Ratchet. She a SAVAGE!” was the tweet that was sent out on May 21st from @SavageXFenty’s Twitter account.
This tweet was in reference to her hit record ‘Savage’ By Megan Thee Stallion that has been eating up the social media platform TikTok. Megan dropped the song in March and the kids took to the record quickly. TikTok user Keara Wilson aka @keke.janajah choreographed a short dance to the song and that is where the #SavageChallenge began. The song and the dance spread like wildfire. A little over a month later Beyoncé surprised the girls by hopping on the remix. And with that, Megan’s hit song took another victory lap on the airwaves.
This Houston collaboration likely got the attention of Fashionista Rihanna who said “Meg is the energy we were looking for. She is a risk-taker with an attitude, character, and personality.” The official campaign title is #SavagexTheeStallion. Megan even performed her interpretation of Keara’s dance decked out in SavageXFenty. Needless to say, Megan is well on her way to having the best summer ever. We love to see it.
