Former Houston Texans running back Arian Foster has signed with the Miami Dolphins. The deal is for 1-yr, $1.5M, with an extra $2 million in incentives.
With this transaction, the Dolphins and Texans have essentially traded running backs this offseason, as former Dolphins running back Lamar Miller signed with the Texans.
Foster should be a good fit with the Dolphins as long as he can stay healthy. That has been the one knock on Foster’s career. Foster is trying to recover from a ruptured Achilles that he suffered this past October.
Foster should be the No. 1 back in Miami at the start of the season, with Jay Ajayi as his backup. Foster will have some challenges in this new division, but can truly resurrect his career in Miami. The New York Jets and Buffalo Bills are two great defensive teams in that division.
