The City of Missouri City is now accepting Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Post-Secondary Educational & Vocational Scholarship Applications. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2016.
The CDBG funds, granted through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), assist low- and moderate-income individuals by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanding economic opportunity.
Scholarships are provided as a reimbursement for qualified expenses to current Missouri City residents who are classified as low- to moderate-income and are enrolled in community college, university or vocational programs. This program is for 2016 high school graduates entering post-secondary institutions and full-time undergraduate enrollees in post-secondary institutions.
The CDBG Scholarship application is available on the City’s website, www.MissouriCityTX.Gov or in-person at the City’s Inspections & Permits Department, 1522 Texas Pkwy.
