Deontay Wilder defended his WBC heavyweight title knocking out his mandatory opponent Dominic Breazeale in the first round.
Prior to the fight occuring, Wilder’s mouth wrote a check he pretty much cashed in on. He told reporters that, “This is the only sport where you can kill a man and get paid for it at the same time. It’s legal. So why not use my right to do so?”
His comments were obviously frowned upon. Mauricio Sulaiman, president of WBC called the comments, “completely against the spirit of our sport.”
While Wilder let the man live, he definitely gave him the business in 137 seconds.
