Genesis 12:7-9New King James Version (NKJV)
7 Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him. 8 And he moved from there to the mountain east of Bethel, and he pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; there he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord. 9 So Abram journeyed, going on still toward the South.[a]
Journey: act of traveling from one place to another; long and often difficult process of personal change and development
Forward Thinkers in 2017 do yourself a favor and learn to embrace your journey. Forward Thinkers please notice how I said your journey because many have become frustrated and overcome with negative thoughts because they never learned to embrace their life journey.
Forward Thinkers imagine bowling a strike at the bowling alley but you threw your ball down the wrong lane therefore you were not given any points or credit for the strike. That’s the same results you get out of life when you don’t embrace your own journey.
Forward Thinkers look at the inside of your hands and pay close attention to your fingers each has a unique print and no one in the whole world has the same print. Think about this the world population is around 7.13 billion and no two people have the same fingerprints because God designed and assigned each of us to a personal journey.
Forward Thinkers God the creator of the universe has a unique plan for our lives and until we learn to embrace our personal journeys we will never find the complete life satisfaction.
In 2017 we will walk through this bible and learn to embrace our journey and keep walking by faith until we walk into our full potential and along the journey we will take the responsibility to encourage others to embrace their journey and walk in their full potential.
Forward Thinkers remember along the way God will never leave us or abandon us and there is also the added bonus that if God is with us it doesn’t matter who is against us. Forward Thinkers the game is fixed in the end we win with God no matter what the current score may look like.
Another key in 2017 is to stop focusing on who is against you or hating on you. Forward Thinkers you’ve spent enough time and energy on them it’s time to focus on your journey. Understand to go forward you need both positive and negative currency.
Forward Thinkers before you take your next road trip open your car hood and take a close look at your car battery and you will find there is both a negative and a positive connection. We must realize in life in order to go forward it takes both so in 2017 stop standing still focusing on negative people and appreciate their negative energy as part of your forward movement.
Genesis 12:9 Abram journey going on still
Forward Thinkers you must commit to keep going no matter how many roadblocks, detours, or set-backs you encounter along the way. Forward Thinkers I love the fact the bible says Abram’s journey going on still because that encourages me to find a way to keep going no matter what I encounter along the way. Forward Thinkers I encourage you to also keep going and embrace your journey.
Genesis 11:26 Lets look back at Abram’s beginning
Terah is Abram’s father and Abram has two brothers Nahor and Haran. Abram is raised in an ungodly culture, his younger brother Haran dies early in life, and he marry a woman, Sarai who is barren (meaning he won’t be able to leave a legacy). Forward Thinkers Abram did not have the most favorable beginning to his life journey but the favor of God found him and blessed him beyond measure.
Forward Thinkers please get this next point it’s not how or where you start but how and where you finish that matters the most so embrace your journey all of it.
Genesis 11:32 On the way to Canaan (The Land of Promise)
Forward Thinkers Abram’s father dies during the journey and Nahor, his brother, decides to stay at the place of their father’s death but Abram makes a bold decision to keep going. Forward Thinkers major point others may give up during the journey but people of faith must keep going.
Genesis 12:1 God tells Abram to Get Out
A journey requires movement so stop standing still, stop living in the past and declare your best days are ahead of you. Forward Thinkers you will never experience the best of today living in the pain of yesterday. God told Abram to get out of your fathers land and journey to a place I have prepared for you.
Genesis 12:4 At 75 years old Abram sets out on his journey
Forward Thinkers age has nothing to do with your level of faith. Jeremiah was not too young and Noah was not too old. God was more concerned about their faith not their age. Forward Thinkers if Abram can journey out at 75 years old what’s your excuse for not leaping out in faith today.
Genesis 12:5 Abram’s journeys lands him in Canaan but he doesn’t stay in Canaan.
Canaan is the Land of Promise for many and Canaan was Abram’s father’s destination but Abram realized Canaan was just a stop on his journey.
What is the Promised Land for others may simply just be a pit-stop for you so Forward Thinkers stop letting others make you feel guilty for not fitting in. Always listen to God’s GPS for directions on your journey.
Forward Thinkers notice everywhere Abram goes on his journey he builds God an altar because he realizes God is the key in succeeding on his journey.
Abram may have had to make many stops but he never stopped. No matter where you are today on your journey embrace it and never stop moving forward.
