Tamar Davis is a Grammy nominee, friend of Tyler Perry and former Beyoncé bandmate. And now, she’s a member of Team Christina.
The Houston native turned two chairs during Tuesday’s blind auditions on “The Voice.” She earned love from Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton with a soulful, spectacular take on “Chain of Fools.” It was fire from the first note.
And her goddess hair was everything. Aguilera called it her “ultimate dream hair.”
She said it was “like having five other sisters.”
Davis sang lead vocals with Prince on Grammy-nominated song “Beautiful, Loved and Blessed.” She also collaborated with Tyler Perry on several “Madea” stage plays. Perry was backstage at “The Voice” to cheer her on.
“It’s time for you to step out of the background,” Aguilera said.
We agree, Xtina.
