On Friday, January 8th, Art, Beats and Lyrics, the traveling art and music tour presented by Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey and Gentleman Jack, returned to Houston at the Revention Music Center. What began as a small art show in Atlanta, has grown to be one of the world’s largest tours of its kind. In its 11th year, the multi-city tour showcases some of today’s best upcoming artists, along with seasoned veterans in art and music under one roof. Visual masterpieces were on display from featured artists Dubelyoo and Zack Murray, among many other notable names recognized globally.
The event included an energizing performance from artist Masego, who along with the help of his counterpart, Anthony Alston Jr., cleverly bridged trap, house and jazz music through dance and improvised, on the spot instrumentation.
Attendees were also treated to a performance by Chicago hip-hop artist and living legend, Twista, who happens to hold the title as the fastest rapper in the world, according to Guinness World Records. Twista performed some of his biggest hits for the packed audience.
