Taylor Swift‘s lawyer may be calling Kanye West after watching his new “Famous” video, but the rapper said he meant no harm with the release of his new video, which features a big mock-up orgy with 12 of the most famous people in the world.
George W. Bush, Donald Trump, Anna Wintour, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian West, Ray J, Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner, and Bill Cosby are all featured in the video. Well, replicas of them are. Chris was absolutely shocked by the video.
So why did Kanye include all these people in his video? “It’s not in support or anti any of [the people in the video],” he told Vanity Fair. “It’s a comment on fame.”
Interestingly, each and every one of the people in the video is connected to Kanye in some way — whether that be as a current or former lover, or simply a partner in controversy. But the most shocking sight of all is that of a naked figure of Taylor Swift. As you’ll recall, “Famous” first became, well, famous because of the lyrics: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b*tch famous.”
At this time, it’s not clear how much of what appears in “Famous” is real. The video was filmed over three months, and it’s hard to tell which, if any, of the “celebrities are really playing themselves and which are presumably only there by the grace of some advanced prosthetic wizardry,” Vanity Fair notes. Hmm.
Kanye showed the video to many of his celebrity friends before it premiered, and those who weren’t in it “want to be in the bed,” he told the magazine.
