Lil Wayne sure knows how to rile up a crowd. The rap legend hopped on stage during Drake‘s concert in Houston this past weekend and got very candid with his screaming fans. In the TMZ clip, he says, “I love y’all, I just want to say I love every single one of you,” before noting how he’s been coming to this city since he was 14-years-old. But, he didn’t stop there. Things took a crazy turn when Weezy decided to get something MAJOR off his chest. “So before I leave — I leave you with some kind words. F*** Cash Money!”
Lil Wayne clearly isn’t quite ready to bury the hatchet with the co-founder of Cash Money Records and his former partner, Birdman. They’re still in the midst of a heated legal battle, so it makes sense. Weezy even went on a full-blown Twitter rant on Sept. 3, proclaiming he was ‘done’ with the rap game. Birdman’s label reportedly refused to release The Carter V for years. As if that wasn’t enough, the “Sucker For Pain” rapper also addressed how his checks were being withheld from him in 2014. “I am a prisoner and so is my creativity again. I am truly sorry and I don’t blame ya if ya fed up with waiting 4 me & this album. But thk u.”
Drizzy was totally psyched to have Lil Wayne present during his Summer Sixteen Tour. He made it obvious that he still has Lil Wayne’s back, even after this mess with Cash Money. The Views rap star added, “We are fighting until you get yours. Freedom to drop music and peace of mind.” Drake concluded, “I know you gave me a shot and all I can ever do with the rest of my life is return the favor. YOUNG MONEY FOREVER.” Uh oh, we’re guessing Birdman would ask him to put some “respect on his name.”
