Forward Thinkers, we opened up this teaching series last week and look forward to continuing this powerful prophetic word on today. May God Be With You part two.
Romans 15:13 New International Version (NIV)
13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
May hope fill you with joy and peace.
Forward Thinkers, may God’s grace cause you to live in the overflow. This season you will go from not enough to just enough to more than enough.
Forward Thinkers, May is a month of Grace. God is showering us with His Grace in the month of May.
Grace is God’s gift to us which empowers us with the supernatural ability to do his will.
Forward Thinkers, you missed a major point right there. God’s Grace qualifies you to do the very things you’re afraid you’re unqualified to do.
Grace empowers and anoints us to become Doer’s.
2 Corinthians 12:9 New International Version (NIV)
9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9 Living Bible (TLB)
9 Each time he said, “No. But I am with you; that is all you need. My power shows up best in weak people.” Now I am glad to boast about how weak I am; I am glad to be a living demonstration of Christ’s power, instead of showing off my own power and abilities.
Paul who has a major ministry calling, an awesome Kingdom assignment, and a powerful life changing testimony of God’s amazing grace prays for God to remove a thorn (painful situation) from his flesh. The thorn was trying to distract and frustrate Paul away from his Kingdom assignment. God replies my grace is sufficient.
Forward Thinkers, God is saying to Paul and Believers today my grace is all you need to do what I’ve called you to do no matter what battles come against you.
God’s grace was waiting on you before you came out your mother’s womb and discovered your purpose.
A Month of Opportunity/Permission
The month of May is also a month of opportunity. God will allow us to access doors of success that have not been accessible before. God also wants us to recognize that, in this season, He is giving us leverage in the spirit realm to be bold and ask Him for big things. God is giving us permission to ask Him to do things that in our past we would have been too scared to ask Him for.
However, this is a season of opportunity, so God wants us to ask Him to do things that are so big that there is no way they can come to pass except by His glorious power. God wants to demonstrate His glory in our lives in such a big way that we will be amazed!
1 Corinthians 2:9 New International Version (NIV)
9 However, as it is
written: “What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”[a]— the things God has prepared for those who love him—
God is giving you permission to be bold in your prayers.
Matthew 8:5-13 New International Version (NIV)
The Faith of the Centurion
5 When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a Centurion came to him, asking for help. 6 “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.”
7 Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?”
8 The Centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. 11 I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
13 Then Jesus said to the Centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that moment.
Forward Thinkers, the Centurion like the Father on last week releases a faith strong enough to bless someone else.
Forward Thinkers, the next big move of God has to be bigger than just you and I. This release of grace is to empower us to impact a generation and a community to believe God is able and then live with results demonstrating God is able.
Fact check: the man was paralyzed but the Centurion’s faith was bold enough to cause movement and motion to occur.
Our faith can reverse the temporary power of facts.
This kind of faith moved Jesus to heal the man.
The Centurion, understanding that he was faced with his moment of opportunity to have his big and bold prayer answered, said this: “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But speak the word only, and my servant will be healed” (Matt. 8:8).
Forward Thinkers, humble yourself and pray then God will heal your land.
This Scripture is so powerful because it demonstrates that our Lord will answer our prayers based on our faith—believing that He will do what He has promised. The Centurion’s pure faith in Jesus’ ability to heal his servant through the spoken word of God was so strong that Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith, no, not in Israel” (Matt. 8:10b).
Forward Thinkers, I challenge you to learn God’s Word then start speaking God’s Word out loud to every situation in your life.
God is saying to us now: “Only believe My word and I will open up opportunities to you that you would have never thought would be open to you. Yet, I am bringing them to you as you trust and believe in My word.”
