“The Voice” is set for some girl power. Over the weekend, it was announced that Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys would be joining the NBC vocal competition show as judges for its 11th season. Adam Levine and Blake Shelton remain. Cyrus and Keys are replacing Pharrell Williams and Christina Aguilera, and will mark the first time the show has had more than one woman as a judge. Prior to Aguilera, Gwen Stefani was in the red swivel seat, which turned out to be an incidental matchmaking move — she is now dating co-judge Shelton.
Cyrus has been an adviser on ‘The Voice” this season and her placement on the panel of judges is meant to up the young crowd of viewers for the network reality competition.
Keys, for her part, was last seen on television screens on the hit “Empire.” She has previously served as a mentor on “The Voice.”
