Recently, hundreds attended the Pleasantville Ground Breaking Celebration for the Judson Robinson, Sr., Community Center.
President Bridgette Murray was available to greet residents, friends, supporters and special guests. Joe Turner, Director, City Parks and Recreation served as the Master of Ceremony. The Theme: “Moving from the Past into the Future”. A Music Prelude was presented by Sons and Daughters of Pleasantville. A special song by Deborah Phillips.
The celebration was a great event, with speakers, such as; Robert Alton Jones-First Resident; Clariece Johnson Dooley-Pleasantville Park-“What it Means to us”; Ivory Davis-Labor/Union/Civil Rights; Andres Moran, Jr. and A. Martin Wickliff, Esq.-Business/Legal; Pearline Perkins-Education; Talmadge Sharpe and President Bridgette Murray-Community Leadership;
