America is beyond the brink of political “governance” disaster, and on the edge of moral collapse. As a nation-state, we are caught in a political-quagmire that no amount of money can resolve, because of polluted minds, greed for money, thirst for power, and above all, lack of moral will to do the right thing. “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” (Psalms 119: 105). Make no mistake about it this scripture is real. And, above all, a moral misunderstanding concerning the role and use of guns in a democratic society (Gun Culture) has become a monumental problem. Americans are armed to the teeth, and at the same time, scared to death. The real problem is an internal one, and not an external one. Ultimately, “SELF” is always the enemy. We looked for the enemy, and found out that it is “SELF”. Let’s face up to it America. It is not a “mental-problem”, but a spiritual/moral breakdown of the family unit. And, one of the primary roles of institutional churches is spiritual/moral guidance. We are not training our children spiritually and morally to be productive citizens in our families, churches, nor in our educational institutions. Taking prayer out of schools was a “devilish” idea, and now the spirit of the devil is in school hallways. We are simply training children to “exist” in an immoral society; that is, we teach our children to “question” authority, and to reject doing things decent and in order (1 Corinthians 14: 33). If a child fails, he/she should not blame society (individual responsibility), and society should not blame itself. Self-introspection and self-moral-evaluation is always the key to a healthy and harmonious society (inclusion). CHOICE is eternally the issue: right-versus-wrong.
By and large, the Democratic Party seeks to include all Americans regardless of ethnicity or immigrant status. However, the Democratic Party fails miserably to help all experience the American Dream (cannot do it by themselves-compromise). Invariably, this approach to governance in many instances creates governmental dependency. And, the real downside of this approach to political governance is that many women feel they do not need a male head of the household. Society begins with family structure, and males should head households. Government becomes the head of the household, not a man; and taxpayers pay the family expenses. Of course, government is not God. God is the designer of family structure, not government.
On the other hand, the Republican Party seeks to empower the corporate structure (the few-the upper-class) at the expense of the many; especially middle-class-families. In the end, White privilege becomes the order of the day. This approach to political governance seeks to empower individuals to work for money, not spiritual and moral character development. Money is not God. God is God, and they that worship him, must worship him in Spirit and Truth (John 4:24). Consequently, the corporate business structure of society is preferentially developed at the expense of spirituality and morality, because it is all about money without compromise. The end result is that the moral fabric of society is diminished, and no healthy legislation is passed that benefits all. What both political parties are doing is counter-productive to a healthy democracy, and above all, against the Will of God. Unfortunately, we have internalized a “My way or the highway leadership mentality”. This political approach to democratic governance ends-up being a “no-win situation for America”, because God’s way is the only way. Both political parties keep attempting to circumvent the spiritual principles inculcated in the U.S. Constitution. “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua 1: 8). The Bible was our guide in the beginning, and it ought to be the guide until Jesus returns. The problem is neither the Democratic Party nor the Republican Party. The real problem is a spiritual problem called sin, and greed has become the fuel. The real question is this: How does a democratic society build “spiritual” wealth from the inside-out? “Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.” (Luke 12:15). There is a monumental spiritual and moral difference between riches and wealth; God owns it all, and every Individual dies and leaves “stuff” behind. Therefore, “Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon the earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth forever.” (Psalms 112:1-3). Both riches and wealth are the gifts of God (Ecclesiastes 5: 19). The wealthy of the world need to understand God’s five primary purposes for wealth, because God does have a money test.
- God gives the power to obtain wealth (covenant relationship) (Deuteronomy 8: 18).
- God desires that we prosper, and be in good health, as our souls prosper (3 John 1:2).
- A righteous-godly society allows for every man to be able to provide for his household (1 Timothy 5: 8).
- The purpose of wealth is to increase the fruits of your (individual) righteousness (2 Corinthians 9: 10). And, not build bigger barns to harvest your wealth and be merry.
- The purpose of wealth is self-actualization of God’s purpose for an individual’s life (Matthew 25: 15) and (Matthew 25: 31-46). In the end, “Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.” “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” (Luke 12: 48).
Don’t take my word; ask the rich man that Jesus told to sell his riches, and give the profits to the poor, and come and follow him. And, we all know, the rest of the story (Matthew 19:21). This is precisely why Jesus said: “And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” (Matthew 19: 24). America, let’s be governed by the spiritual precepts of the Constitution, because it was written for all, and good will should exist for all. In the spirit of Christmas, and honoring the birth of our Lord and Savior, and the spiritual teachings of Jesus Christ, “Let Freedom Reign All Over The World”. Selah!
