The trending app for teens called Instagram also known as IG has caught the attention of many teens all over the world. It has been the trending app since 2011 and is still one of the top trending apps today. With the app being downloaded up to 7,500 times every minute, this is the social media app that has taken the world by storm, especially among teenagers globally. People on Instagram are usually between the ages of 10-30. Instagramers are continuously trying to promote themselves via their accounts through pictures and information, mainly to gain more followers and more likes on their pictures. The main way they promote their accounts are of course through other Instagram accounts and they mainly do that by doing what’s called IG games and contests on the app such as tbh,(to be honest) SFS,(shoutout for shoutout) tbh vids,(to be honest videos) & Gm posts and Gn Posts(good morning and goodnight posts). These are all the most common ways to gain followers. The more followers you get the more popularity you gain and the more you trend as if you were a celebrity or model. A lot of user pictures and videos help individuals start careers commonly in the entertainment and sports fields. So IG is also productive and could possibly lead to a future career. Typically, the goal is for individuals to become famous (known in the public) on IG; however, this does not always get achieved. The general follower count that one should have to become IG famous is around 3k-10k or higher. Once you achieve this number of followers then you can be promoted through mutual followers. This means if you follow someone and they are also following you then you and the other user become active on each other’s accounts; One out of the two of you get followed depending on how much activity is displayed on each other’s account. Once this is achieved you will be referred to another account user that should be followed and then you will be on the road to becoming “IG famous.” You will always want to have more followers than people you are following or you will not get recognized. If you follow these steps and simple rules you will definitely become “IG famous.”
