It’s almost that time for Panther football! With the season opener at TSU just around the corner, we’re counting down to each game during the fastest 60 minutes in football.
There are less than days to go until the pigskin (officially) flies through the air for the first time of the fall 2021 season. After a short season the team will be back in action on Saturday, September 4 at the BBVA Stadium.
“I feel real good about going into this week’s game,” said head football Coach Eric Dooley. “It’s about the mindset, it’s never been about the talent, and we have the talent here. I do like were we are. Dealing with student-athletes it’s always a grind, but I believe that we are ready.”
The busy week will begin with the annual 36th Labor Day Press conference at noon Monday. Then with a little bit of normalcy the Touchdown Club will also hold its annual Labor Day luncheon on Wednesday. Prairie View will travel down 290 east for a 7 p.m. kickoff on Saturday.
In the Panthers home opener against the Tigers during the spring 2021 season the PV came away with a 20-19 nail bitter. PVAMU has come away with the win in the last six meetings, three of which were during the Dooley Era.
Prairie View A&M will return majority of its offense and nearly most of the defense from its stingy season just four months ago.
